Ever since we grew up, the festival of colours have been a predominantly important occasion of life every year. Colours play a vital role in life and act as stress busters and used in many therapies.
Whether they are colours of paintings, walls, rooms, nature, or colours of love, they fill our monotonous life into fountain of enthusiasm.
While kids we have enjoyed the Holi colours , with glee and laughter, moving through every lane of our locality , playing colours with known, unknown and even strangers. It added a touch of warmth, a touch of affection to the atmosphere.
As we grew up, Holi and colours changed their definition, now colours also meant creating ideas, dreams on canvas . It depicted the silent aspirations of heart on the white canvas. Brushes strokes of colours brought joy, fulfillment as fingers dipped in the water and oil pastels. They could feel the essence of every colour individually and live its fervour.
Few more years and love became the solo colour . Pinks and lavenders were favourites like the lilies and roses during seasons of falling in love. Joy of seeing the blushing colours, excitement of dipping self in romance emblazoned in every pastel.
Later, reds, violets, greens, blues changed their forms. Nature embraced in different colours with its presence . Under the sapphire blue sky, a walk beside the emerald green meadow , or a walk in the golden desert, the saffron tint of energy in rising sun, or the crimson red of twilight invoked innumerable emotions. Overwhelmed got the heart, seeing these true colours which were permanent unlike the impermanence of human nature.
While the journey continued and continues, divine is now the colour of soul. It wishes and paints self in colours indelible, like the gulaal of divinity.
Like the fragrance of flower, it pervades and spreads on the soul, which until now realizes the true colour of a COLOUR... Recognizing its own shade, it walks in that direction…
